Cousins Gathering 2009

Cheryl emailed us whether we could gather together on 1st day of 2009 and fabian coming back to SG for holiday. I replied saying have made that day free so that we can gather to catch up. Time flies. Shan was humourous saying that Le Min and him will make their usual entrance during cny haha...He as usual so hilarious...What a cousin we have!!!

Exams

Went to do my exam this morning le. Must say that i did not do well in today's exam.
The lecturer was nice to be present today and he came into the class to see us. He
asked whether we have anything to ask him. We said whether we can open our notes and
to do the exam haha...Was having 'runny nose' while doing the exam. Indeed, i caught a flu le.
After the exam, my coursemate and i went for a quick lunch. We windowshop ard Bugis area
and took the mrt back home.

Li Yang @ 933 HIT awards

Congrats to Li Yang being awarded the best newcomer award in 933 hit awards last nite. There were a few winners in this cateorgy. Well, it was a bonus to her singing career. WOW Li Yang was so pretty in that suit. Just want to say that she was great haha...3 cheers for Li Yang. We cheered for Li Yang and shout out her name during the ceremony, our Lady Jade has waved to us a few times. The comperes knew it was Jade's bd yesterday and invited Yoga and Wu Jiahui by surprise to get them sing bd song for Li Yang keke...

Hurray, Li Yang coming to SG again to attend 933 Hit Awards. So special feeling, her bd is on 24th oct and she will be here to spend her bd with fans/supporters.

To Good Health

Mum suggested to me yesterday that we two go visit 3rd aunt at the hospital today. I was yes to the idea. This morning, we went to get some soupy food for her. When we reached the hospital, 3rd aunt was sitting up to read newspapers. Glad that her condition was improving. Ard 11 am, the doctor came over to check on aunt's condition, he declared that she can be discharged shortly. We helped aunt to pack up and get ready for discharge. 4th aunt came too. Mum accompanied 3rd aunt to the pharmacy to collect medicine. Shortly, 3rd uncle arrived at the hospital. I told mum that i need to go off le and bade goodbye to 3rd aunt. Still have some time, so went to the library to borrow books. Just want to say health is realli realli realli important.

Health

3rd aunt was admitted to hospital for torn of ligament.
Went to visit her this morning and brought puttu mayam
for her...Mum mentioned that 3rd aunt like to eat it.
She undergone operation yesterday.
Another fren was not feeling well last few days.

Sch Musical

Went to Republic Polytechnic Cultural Centre to watch Canberra Sch Production. Gd effort by a group of students, the primary school kids were kind of excited to behave themselves. The first item was 3 songs by the choir group. Well done. The second item was retro musical, got Elvis Presley's song etc. Got to ask dad what were the popular songs in the 60 and 70s haha...

My Thoughts for 14 Sep 08

I was happy to spend the mid-autumn festival with liyang and jade_sg members on 14 Sep. It was memorable events and sweet memories. Firstly, we all gather at the shopping mall from 8 am onwards to get a good spot to see Li Yang. Indeed, we were early, but it was fun to wait together. Initially, it was a long wait. Well, 8 of us went for breakfast. After breakfast, we went back to our seat and the next batch can proceed for their breakfast too. Time ticks and slowly the time was 2pm. Li Yang gg to appear at 4pm. There was live radio broadcast on liyang's mission to help the World Vision SG to raise funds for Shanxi Province to rebuild school for the children. Little that i know, she was from that province. Well, time was 4pm. Li Yang gg to appear on stage soon. Had fun in the afternoon event, was sitting beside sihui, next was wanting. Liling was in the front row with wing, as for yang, she was in front right end. Li Yang came on stage to sing the first song, shortly (if i remember correctly) she also went to the sales counter to help to sell the EP by HIM artists and her debut album 'I am what i am'. So fortunate of those who went to purchase the items with her signature on the receipt haha...There was one middle-aged lady was standing behind and she boasted that she got liyang's signature on the ep she bought. True enough, it was liyang's signature on it. The thought of snatching that receipt flashed my mind. I old enough to think what should do le, mah. The radio djs was cruz ding and jingyun from 958 radio. Li Yang's throat was not well, but she performed her best. No doubt, her performance was great. The dj asked li yang to take a seat and got the fans/supporters up the stage to sing the EP and liyang's songs. Li Yang was assigned to give comments on the singing. She was kind with her words haha...She mentioned that alto they may not remember the lyrics well, but good effort put in. Commendable effort by the fans/supporters. Now is the time to get her autograph, she was busy signing on the ep, and i told her to 'jia you' and shook her hand. Wow, her hand so soft haha...Liling, Jana, another member and myself took a cab to Cineleisure. Now, i will touch on the K Union event. Li Yang sang 靠不靠譜 and she used the little sound toy to sing, so adorable, sang 單 but the music did not start accordingly and she requested to start again, the machine must be on 'strike' and it was not done according with Li Yang's request. Already, she was unwell, but she strived to be her top form. I thot that cant record video in k union, there were a few uploaded the event videos in youtube. I just want to enjoy the meaningful gathering with our Lady Li Yang and fellow members. Dj asked the floor who would like to play the first game, i volunteered myself, went up to the stage, sat beside liyang and she shook my hand. Played the game of peeling pomelo, the dj asked for our name and he commented that i may win this game. But it gave me pressure and my hands were trembling and used all strength to peel. The purpose is not to destroy the pomelo, the lady on my left was fast to win the game and she gained herself a pose with Liyang. I was delighted to be awarded Li Yang's CD single. The dj told liyang that there was surprise for her and asked her to keep eyes closed. She was so cute by 'looking' between gaps of her hand as the dj claimed that they will scatter flower petals from the above. It was our show time. Li Yang was relieved that we did not play tricks on her haha...We went up to show our support for her and sincerely hope that she can win 933 Hit awards in Oct 25th. We sang her a song and Chair and Vice-Chair came up with the cake and mooncakes. Chair was rather nervous while she was saying some encouraging words to our Lady and Vice-chair was patting her back to ease her tension. We as first batch members posed together with Li Yang. Li Yang continued to perform her song and one of the games was interesting, one young lady was dressed in yellow and the dj teased her like the moon haha...Li Yang laughed too. The young lady was quite brave and continue to sing the song '死胡同' and we on the floor helped to sing too. Time just flow away and it coming to an end, we asked for encore song and Li Yang sang '一句一傷' which was a 5min song. Earn Earn!!!

Jade Li Yang 14 Sep Mid Autumn Festival

Heard from the radio that Li Yang mentioned that she had long and tiring journey as she travelled from Shanghai to Beijing to go home to pack up to rush to airport to arrive in SG. Li Yang sang 4 songs this afternoon 靠不靠譜, 拍寫, 死胡同 and 眼淚笑了. She wore the blue jacket and purple pants this afternoon at Marina Sq. She looked great but a bit pale looking and her makeup made her look more pale. Her throat was giving her problems. At marina sq, she was not feeling well during afternoon. Heard from the rest that she was coughing while signing on the ep and her album lyrics booklet. We got her autograph and rush to K Union via cab. Liling, Jana and her fren too. At K Union, i have invited yuelei to attend the event as it will be a waste not to use the tickets. This is the first time we standing so near to her. Ting was art-inclined and drew on a t-shirt for liyang.

Meaningful Event

This afternoon, i went to attend the befrienders event briefing at Teachers' Network, Grange Road. There are abt 110 pple who volunteered for this event and we were to visit some elderly who stayed in one room flat in Ang Mo Kio area. Nellie and I paired as one team to visit two flats. The first family was rather reserved. Mother and daughter stayed together and they are christian family and saw the bible in their house. The elderly lady may have some hearing difficulties and we asked her some questions. The second elder is one gg to turn 80 next mth. He was friendly and welcomed us to his flat. He was rather active in his younger days and previously worked as a driver. His favourite pastime is singing and watched DVDs. He also mentioned that he has spent thousand over dollars on the disc. Nellie may not be so tactful in asking some questions. No choice, was paired with her for the first time. Not sure of her intention on such event. Felt that sincerity comes first in such event or scenario. I am not saying that i am very sincere and at least, my intention comes from the sincerity in my heart. When i was young, grandma always tell me abt her visit to old folks' home in Old Upper Thomson Road and i have visited that old folks' home during festive occasions. There were my memories of grandma and the elderly over there. I wish to continue grandma's wish to pay attention to the elderly. I will also age gradually and when that day, i will be still happy to be an elder haha...

Money Not Enough 2

Really, money no enough lor. Yes Money Really No Enough i mean movie. Yesterday night, i went to watch 'Money not Enough 2' with my family. Really funni, Mr Jack Neo's movie is about SG lifestyle and common scenario. Indeed, most parts are relevant to our current society. But one part on the snatching of blood is not very logical, my family felt the same. Anyway, it is just a movie.

Moods, Feelings

Everyone has moods, feelings etc. Must it be made known to others??? Cannot understand people's current moral values. For a petty thing, they can kill or hurt someone. My concern is that when someone gets hurt, it cant be reverted back or just say sorry. No point saying sorry after hurt is done to someone. This is a stressful world and society.

Lunch with Colleague

Was happy to have lunch with colleague who is working the school now. She was also busy with her work in the school. We had sakae sushi for lunch. This colleague who was my supervisor too haha...She had jovial personality too. Enjoyed the time with her. Nice to chat with her as she can joke and put people at ease. So happened, it was exam in the morning. Thinking of having lunch with her, she agreed. I said that the meal will be on me cos won some lottery lately.

Boss, Leaving

My boss is leaving from 3rd week of Sep. Anything can happen. Not saying she will resign, from what i observe, she will not stay long. When she broke the news to me, i cant believe my ears. Was glad that she chose to break the news to us before mgr annouce her leaving service. Wish her all the best. Actually, this should be announced during the mtg but it was postponed to another day. I was trying my best to do whatever is to be covered by her. Have managed to check the commutation list and passed to another colleague. Quite a fair bit to do. The office equipment kept giving me problems and difficulty. Everyone was tied up with things except for one person. Anyway, this is not my concern. Very tired and do not wish to continue with such things. Heart is getting weak, not as strong as b4.

Birthday

really age is catching up, my birthday is next month. Well, not expecting pple to remember my hatchday. Last year, had a bad experience, a fren wanted to pass me birthday present but she will be late to pass to me. I already mentioned that i do not want to receive present and just wish me birthday greetings will do. She insisted in passing it to me and she was busy that day. I told her to carry on with her important work. Anytime, she can pass it to me. We had a small arguement. In the end, we patched up. Although we have patched up, there was a gap between us. A little matter can spoil friendship and cause a strain.

Getting old le...Time does not wait for man...The importance to treasure time with loved ones. I did not sleep well last nite, woke up at 3 am and only slept at 6 am. Woke up at 8am...Dad and i went to redhill to have breakfast and got breakfast for the family. Mum and i took a ride from 4th aunt to arrive at 3rd uncle's place to have farewell lunch gathering for Fabian who is going to New York to study 3-yr law. I gave him a canadian fren who went to there to study law too. We had simple fare like nasi lemak and lontong and dessert was ice cream. Had this gathering is to match some timing as Fabian going to watch ndp preview session with his fren. 2th aunt and cousin cheryl also gg too. Around 4 plus, we left for home. What a afternoon.

Boss

Is boss always right in their decisions? Beg to differ, yes they have the ability to think through and thorough in ideas, but in terms of practicality, they may have not got much experience, only the subordinates do the work and run the show, would have a better experience to understand the whole scenario and picture. They are boss, and our part is to listen to their instructions and execute it. They are just saying the words, not doing the job. We as subordinates just have to do the work. No boss really understand the hardships that we faced every day. When things happened or did not work out the way they expected, they then reluctantly instruct us to do otherwise. Boss only listen or face our immediate superiors and sided them fully and made us feel small at times. Just to vent my frustrations and 'anger'.

Exams Coming

So fast, gg to have exams end of next mth, having tight feelings now. So much to do in the day and got to study at the same time. I told myself to start revising currently or else it will be too late, too late. Now, got the news that the 2 exams will have held in different week. I have asked the course administrator the reason behind the change and she did not reply my email. Just only replied to my other email. Well, not sure why she avoid replying on this.

My expectations

A colleague advised me to put the focus in my work and studies, the rest are not so important. I gave a thought and some may be applicable to me. But, must at least to be loved by someone somehow this has not come true for me. Maybe i was not fated to have such fortune haha...Well, i must pull my socks to do some things meaningful. To be more generous in others, forgive small tiny issue that has mattered to me. I have been generous to others as much as i could. Did the rest do this to me too? I need some recognition and encouragement too. Am i hoping too much? Not really.

Jade Li Yang's album

Last month, i bought Jade Liu Li Yang's album and listened to her songs throughout. Her voice captured my heart and eye. Amazed by her strong vocals and Tong told me that she also was captivited by her lovely voice. Indeed, her songs has some expressed the moods which are closed to my heart. Supermouse had put alot of her videos and have watched some and asked for my permission whether allow him to share out the pictures and videos that i took in SG. I said ok.

Li Yang SPC Event 20 Jul 08

I went to the abovementioned event and found that Liu Liyang is adorable and lively. She looked tired and tried her best to do well in the event. She was spontaneous in laughter and tried to participate in the game fully. She mentioned that it was the first time she attended an event in a petrol kiosk haha...She even posed to let the supporters to take photos. I also took some pictures of her and we were very close to her. She is pretty and tall for a girl's height. Tong was watching her aside. After the event, she boarded up the traveller van with china's promotion aide while Yoga Lin went to sit in MD's car. They arrived 15 mins earlier and went off. I was impressed by her performance and personality. To me, she is cool and professional. We went to Margaret drive to have refreshment.

Li Yang Bugis Event

After a short nap, i woke up to get changed and set off to Bugis Sq to watch Li Yang perform live at YES933 event. When i reached, it was so crowded with youths and some mature ones like me. I have messaged Tong to see whether she coming to watch li yang too. She was tired but she made the trip to watch the performance and get the lyric book to be autographed. I was drenched while Li Yang was performing. The girl beside was supporting Lin Yoga and she was quite nice and chatted with me. Some taiwanese youths were beside us too and sheltered us with their only brolly, so nice of them. We thanked them for the shelter though we were all wet. They were quite friendly, at first, i thought they are from mainland china as their accent not familiar. Mary Bukoh was the compere for the event and she was professional and kept reminding the supporters not to take pictures when they reached the stage. I tried to take a shot of Liyang, not that clear. Finally got Liyang's autograph and so happy. Tong mentioned that she also got her autograph too. What a event i had attended.

Very excited to go and sit Singapore Flyer later this evening. I plan for my family gathering...Brother cant make it time, so mum got 4th aunt to come with us. We went to fetch 4th aunt at her place as she stays near to us. Dad was not sure on the route to the flyer. At last, mum and i directed the route to him. Got the valet parking as it was very difficult to get a parking lot at that time. I went to collect the admission tickets and we had to go through security checks before we board in the flyer capsule. So cute to name the cabin as capsule, we are not the medicine power in the capsule haha...We went to ride on the flyer and enjoyed the scenery on the top. Well, 4th aunt was little scared when we were at the top. I was happy to take this ride with my family. This is family gathering and we went to a seafood restaurant to have dinner. Mum and 4th aunt decided on what to order. The crabs were so huge and the sauce was good, a little salty but we dip with fried buns. So hearty meal. 4th aunt had bought some pearl necklaces in a souvenir shop. Mum and 4th aunt were tired after the meal.

Delicious Food

After work today, my colleagues and i went for dinner together at colleague's family open air restuarant. Had a hearty meal today and with good company. One colleague was too cheeky kept on teasing a new colleague. I can sense the tenseness and pretend not to hear that. Mark came to get some dinner for his wife and he also bought the curry puff too. Kim came late too this evening. Got dad to fetch me home after dinner haha...pampered girl hehe...I sms Tong that i will share some red wine with her. She was interested too. Well, i need to attend class tomorrow. So much to do for today.

Flare Up

My colleague commented that i was too hot tempered at times and i was puzzled she commented on this. I do not like to show my temper in workplace unless it is necessary. Maybe she is true. I should curb my temper. I also do not wish to flare up in the office. Am i too hasty in showing temper? I had so much thoughts in my mind this day. My boss was enquring on some urgent work to be done and the manager would like to take a look before forwarding to the relevant parties for consideration. I would like to do a good job and was too careless some occasions. My boss had to remind me to redo it. Well, she is the boss, just have to work on again.

My thoughts for this day

Today is a busy day too. Was quite mad with a colleague who refused to cooperate but the colleague had to do what i need to submit as a whole bunch of info. Well, pple have different tempers and moods each day, be it happy, sad, so-so etc. Things is not as smooth sailing every day, bound to have lots of hicups...So sad, this cant change at all. Went to the dentist today, he mentioned that i need to do a 'crown' for my left upper molar as it is quite thin le. Well, he is the professional in this area, got to listen to him. He is good dentist and gentle in handling patients. VL knows him too haha...What a small world!

The Super Trio

Super Trio, 3 Cheers for them. Who is Super Trio...They are my favorite, girl group S.H.E. They are the best, man!!! Started to like them since 2004, initially, i find them too noisy, so much noise...Well, things changed alot, like their frankness and vitality. Through this group, i get to know pple who like or have interest in them. Even, got to know overseas fren who also like them. Lately, Hebe came to SG to endorse a dental care product/service based in Sweden. Like her frankness and beauty, slowly became a beautiful lady and feminine...I like Ella alot, like her braveness and character. I can say that my character is quite similiar to hers. Am i too old to like them? No, not at all. I must i have many memories to recall when i gets old. Others may not have such experience in this.

Farewell and Goodbye

There will be farewell and goodbye in our daily life be it colleagues leaving for greener pastures or other reasons. Need to give true emotions, not like faking tears or hypocrites...No one wants to see such happened to us and loved ones.

Encouraging Song

I was listening to Fan Weiqi's new single 一颗心的距离, lyrics was so nicely composed. So touched by the lyrics. Fan Fan's songs are soothing to mind and can relax after listening to it. After listening to it twice and sang together, my tears just flow slowly. Not sure whether i was too emotional, maybe too emotional. Being too emotional and too soft-hearted can be a big blow and flaw to one.

One life

Everyone have one life...be it good or bad, life still goes on. Do not let your loved ones see u wasting your life away...Temptations every where...can i resist not to be tempted by it? Very very hard. Determination comes into play now. I have set aside some time to upgrade myself. Friends and colleagues have gave me encouragement and i am happy to hear that.

Unwell Today

today was a bad day for me since morning. My nose is like the running tap and sneezing away.
I tot i may have to go to the doctor today but i tolerated it till end of the day. After work, i went home straightaway. Now is still weak and having bad headache. One HQ dept lady approached me for help on some system update and she kept on calling me for small little problem. In the end, i had to help her clear the 'hurdle'. I had to stop my own work to assist her to solve her issue. My temper was over me for today. Feeling unwell and this had happened.

Young at Heart, Old by age

Suddenly, i felt that i have aged quite a fair bit. Worry too much...I still went to work. Yuelei sent me a sms today and felt in this way...So much on my mind...cant get off it. Telling myself to let go let go...really hard to do so. Seven years back, had some feelings for someone, told him my feelings and he was hard in his reply. I thought that i have forgetten abt him. After listening to particular singer's song, the thoughts just flow back to my mind. My tears is now flowing slowly...Why i cant forget abt him at all and why must make me in such stage???

Potential Singer

Hey, i have noticed one new singer named Jade Liu Liyang. Her voice was appealing to me and her songs touched my heart. Some songs made me shed tears and was happy that she came
into HIM Music company. Have mentioned this to Tong and she also have heard her songs too.
Boy, Liyang is really tall for a girl and liked her frankness towards the audience. She smiles quite a lot over the radio interviews she had attended. Thanks to supermouse's effort to source

The Wedding

hey, we cousins went to Hyatt Hotel to prepare our item for the wedding dinner item.
well, this turn out to be different, things do happen that we did not expect.
yingxiang and yinghui sang a duet requested by cheryl sia. It was a good one.
Leshan and yinghui were the MC for the nite. Leshan was hilarious and humour
the guests. Scarlet was beautiful in her evening dress. Yingmin and Yinghui's dress were
nice too. I wore red blouse and golden shoes haha...worth a lot hehe...

Cousins Gathering

was happy to meet cousins today as we gathered together
to witness Eunice and Edwin's big day in the church.
After the ceremony reception, we went to Cove to have
dinner together. Our purpose is to brainstorm ideas for
tomolo's wedding dinner as Yinghui and Shan are gg to
be the mc for the nite. They sure have heavy roles to do haha...
We have sort of getting ideas what to present at the wedding dinner
program. After hearty dinner, we left the place at 11pm.

i have created my personal blog today...Time flies...
What a day is today. My cousin getting married on this day.
Dedicated a song for the newly-wed couple.
Wish them a long lasting wedding and build a big family haha...
My second uncle and aunt can upgrade their position as father and mother-in-law.

Well, i am the eldest cousin in the family. Grandma will be smiling,
giving wishes to the couple and she can pray to God to guide the new couple
as they go along in union in God's care and protection.
Tomorrow is the dinner session. Cousins can all gather together to establish
closer ties and relationship.
